We have worked with a sorting equipment manufacturer for a number of years on trying to get NIR technology to work, but the accuracy of measuring soluble solids in tree fruit has proven to be less than desired. Handheld and benchtop devices using NIR for nondestructive measurements of SSC have been on my radar for some time, it would be great if it worked, but so far, claims have far exceeded actual performance. Perhaps your product is different. Can you share the results of your validation studies?

George, we’d love to better understand what exactly you are looking to do with SCiO and share any relevant results. Please feel free to reach out to dev@consumerphysics.com with more info. We can also try to coordinate a short chat on the phone.
