Let’s say I’m interested in scanning some rice and bean samples. Should I scan them in grain shape or in powder? Which type is more reliable? Will you recommend using the cup holder in this case?

    Thanks

    Hi Khoa,

We would recommend ground and chopped shape of rice and bean and using the solid sample holder for small samples.

For larger samples you can use a petri dish and place a white or black sheet underneath it.

We recommend conducting a preliminary test first in order to optimize the experiment set up and improve the models performance.

    Hi,

It occurs to me that there are advantages both ways; chopping and grinding would presumably be better for nutrient analysis, but whole grains or beans would be faster and might be adequate for the purpose.
