I would like to know the spectral detection range of SCiO.
What is the displayed spectrum in “MY MINI APPLETS” ? Is it a true absorption spectrum ? Or taking the derivative of the spectrum. Anyhow the spectrum from SCiO is not correlating with any standard NIR absorption signature of specimens like acetone or methanol.
The displayed spectrum in “MY MINI APPLETS” is the reflectance spectrum: the ratio between the spectrum of SCiO’s illumination source and the spectrum of the reflected signal from the sample.
This is the reason for the mismatch between the two graphs.
